Where have I been?

I'm not sure if anyone is still checking on my blog, but those of you that are will notice that I have been absent for quite a while. Sorry about that. The sememster started and whisked me away to a land far, far from here. A land of natural resource management and program evaluation. Some of the land was scary, causing great distress, while other parts were lovely and inviting. Actually, I was just really lazy and didn't post anything. Not that anyone really cares. Ok, so I am back. New semester. It's my last semester, theoretically. I'll graduate in May, hopefully with a job in line, and I will not be in school anymore. It's sad, really. I've been in school for a long time...since I was 5 years old. But, it is time to leave Nevernever land and grow up. So, hopefully you'll hear about a job interview or two and then the aquisition of employment. That would be nice, eh? I hope you're all well and keep checking this out. I'll do better; I promise.

yay, Annie's back, yay! The place of my employ is hiring another computer programmer, do you think you're up for that? You could share an office with me!

Good luck anne marie! I'm doing the grown up thing now, and it's not too scary. Of course i work with children and can fade back into fairy tales any time.

grownup land is scary. fairy tales are scary. the brothers grimm? enough said. my neverneverland seems to be inhabited by an inordinately high number of mean men with hooks for hands and long mustachios (not sexy earl mustachios but ridiculous robinson mustachios). or maybe my perception of things is a little off. the pressure to be profound all of the time is wearing on my sense of reality. if they only knew... keeping up a facade - an intellectual persona, if you will -is hard damn work. woe is me.

I don't know paul. Sounds like I'm not qualified. But I could work as an entertainer for all the programmers. Not like an adult entertainer, just an everyone entertainer.
